In the dream of a lifetime, Moraine opens for one of our all-time favorite bands and influences, the legendary Soft Machine!
Balancing inventive composition with exploratory improvisation, Moraine has delighted audiences ranging from progressive rock partisans to jazz aficionados to metalheads. The Seattle-based unit has performed in major U.S. cities on both coasts, in Mexico, Siberia, and Tuva, and at notable festivals including NEARfest and Baja Prog. Moraine's releases on NYC-based MoonJune Records – manifest deNsity, Metamorphic Rock, and Groundswell (the latter co-produced and mixed by legendary Pacific Northwest producer Steve Fisk) – have garnered hundreds of enthusiastic reviews worldwide. Moraine has also collaborated with such globally significant artists as trombone virtuoso Stuart Dempster, Mexican "avant folk" phenomenon Cabezas de Cera, traditional Korean master musician Young Sub Lee, and imaginative Swiss vocal duo Eclecta Forever.
